The Azur 540RV2 has a host of new features improving on its already ground-breaking performance. Among them are an On Screen Display (OSD), Control Bus inputs/outputs for multi-room compatibility and an extra co-axial digital input. All these new additions and more, help to create a vastly superior sound and better functionality. One of the key benefits of the 540R is its outstanding sonic ability as well as strong video performance making it a complete all-round receiver for music and movie lovers.

The 540R offers a powerful 80W delivery across each of its six channels (or 100W in stereo two channel), while there is a full array of connections. These take in component, S-Video and composite, as well as a raft of electrical and optical digital inputs and outputs. Moreover, you’ll find a full 6.1 preamp output and direct input, plus six line level inputs with a tape loop monitor. The latest changes also take in assignable inputs for ease of use.

The Azur 540R home cinema receiver makes use of some of the very latest processing technologies from respected manufacturer Crystal, with an ability to decode 6.1 soundtracks, which include an extra centre rear channel for even more realistic surround sound performance.

And not only is the 540R’s on-board CS493263 multi-channel DAC capable of decoding Dolby Digital Surround 6.1 EX and DTS ES 6.1, but the receiver also processes Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1, as well as Dolby Pro-Logic and the new Pro-Logic II.

Functional improvements mean that it is no longer necessary to select either the co-axial or digital input because the unit chooses whichever is connected.
