While physical media has been largely displaced today by digital downloads
and streaming, there is a definite resurgence to vinyl as there's an abundant
source of new pop releases and a wide range of reissues on vinyl available. The
PP4 makes it easy to add phono to many of today's stereo amplifiers and AV
receivers that have either eliminated the phono input or included a low quality
circuit for attaching your turntable.
For superb measured and sonic
performance, the NAD PP 4 Digital Phono/USB Preamplifier features discrete
transistor inputs, a 24 volt power supply, subsonic filtering and extremely
accurate RIAA equalization. The rear panel features a selectable MM or MC switch
and there is a second line input to allow for the transfer of cassette tapes.
In addition to being a superb phono preamplifier, the PP4 enables
you to digitize your vinyl record collection to MAC or PC. To further reduce
noise and improve the analog-to-digital conversion process the PP4 includes a
USB interface, shielded USB cable and recording level control. The PP4 offers a
complete hardware and software solution and includes VinylStudio Lite Software
for ripping LPs and burning audio CDs.
As part of NAD's
commitment to the environment, the PP4 features a more efficient "green" power
supply that reduces power consumption. The PP4's Auto Power Down feature saves
energy by automatically powering the PP4 to OFF when not in use.
Show your vinyl collection some serious love with the NAD PP4.
