The integrated amplifier combines a
preamplifier and power amplifier in one
chassis. The preamp does the input switching and lets you set
your volume. Typically, the preamp also provides a necessary
buffer circuit to avoid the loss of dynamics and frequency response aberrations
that can occur when a source is connected directly to a power
amp. The power amp section takes that small signal
from the preamp and amplifies it to be able to drive
speakers. The ideal integrated amplifier will neither add
nor take anything away from the original signal.
We are pleased to offer integrated amplifiers from Cambridge Audio, Creek,
conrad-johnson, Esoteric, Jolida, Krell, Music Hall, NAD, and NAD Masters
Series. Everyone of these manufacturers strive to build integrated amplifiers
that offer the best performance at their respective prices.
