Spearit Sound

B&W Speakers

CM Series

B&W's CM Series is something of a wolf in sheep’s
clothing. Its classic cabinet shapes, drive unit
arrangements and handsome real wood veneers
might lead you to expect a correspondingly
conventional sound quality. If so, you’d be in for
a shock. The sound of the CM Series is as full, crisp
and startlingly true-to-life as you’d expect from a
more high-end speaker range. That’s because it
possesses technologies, design innovations and
performance that were first heard in top, studio quality
ranges such as the B&W 800 Series. The
physical familiarity of the CM1 bookshelf, CM7
floorstander and CM Center only underlines just
how far Bowers & Wilkins has brought sound
reproduction in recent years.
You probably wouldn’t anticipate, for example,
that the speakers of the CM Series include
minimalist first-order crossovers, whose electrical
simplicity is an indication of the quality and balance
of the speakers’ mechanical design. All three boast
B&W’s Nautilus™ tube-loaded tweeter, their trademark
yellow Kevlar ® midrange or bass/midrange unit,
and Flowport™, their low-turbulence speaker vent.
For hi-fi or home theatre, if you want speakers
with some unexpected bite, try their "wolves in
sheep’s clothing." You’ll find much more on
these advances by visiting Spearit Sound or
downloading the B&W CM Series brochure.
