SACD/CD Transport

• VRDS-NEO mechanism has been further refined from that of the X-01.

• 12mm-thick massive solid machined aluminum mechanism base plate further improves the rigidity and vibration-resistance.

• 10mm thick / 4.5kg steel bottom frame that holds the mechanism chassis contributes to the high rigidity and non-resonant ability of the unit.

• Separate power supply unit consists of 3 transformers ( 1 for mechanism drive, 1 for pick-up signal processing, 1 for DD converter & master clock circuit).

• SACD (DSD format signal) is digitally output either from the IEEE1394 (i-Link) or the ESOTERIC original ES-LINK format (XLR DUAL terminals.

• ES-LINK: The ESOTERIC Original Digital Connection Format Internal D/D converter converts digital signal up to 192kHz.

D–01 Monaural D/A converter 

• The signal output from the internal digital filter(s) goes into a FIFO circuit where the signal is re-clocked by a high precision internal crystal clock to reduce jitter.

• This clean digital signal then goes to the D/A converter. D/A converter circuit construction utilizes 8 Burr-Brown (PCM1704) 24-bit D/A converter chips. This feature provides more natural sound, precise ambience, and presence.

• Highly Sophisticated D/A Converter Circuitry 3 types of different digital filter & Filter OFF mode FIR / RDOT / FIR+RDOT / DF OFF.

• Digital signal is convertible up to 768kHz.

• Word Synchronization WORD SYNC input/output mode. Ability to input external clock signal at 11 different frequencies.

• High-precision crystal clock (±3ppm accuracy) SACD (DSD format) signal is input either from the IEEE1394 terminals or the XLR terminals.

• XLR input is ESOTERIC original ES-LINK format.

• SACD Digital Input: IEEE1394 / ES-LINK

• Compatible with Esoteric CD Transports P-0, P-70, etc.

• Converted PCM signals up to 192kHz can be input. PCM Signal Up-conversion: Up to 192kHz.
